Membership

Your membership provides access to the legal services specifically included in the plan you select:

• Belen Basic — $39.99/month
• Belen Plus — $69.99/month
• Belen Elite — $99.99/month

One Case Per Membership Year

Each membership includes one qualifying case per membership year.

Your membership year begins on the date you enroll and renews annually on that date.

Waiting Period & Exclusions

There is a 90-day waiting period before criminal coverage activates. Individuals with pre-existing open cases at time of enrollment are not eligible for pre-paid services. Individuals under active investigation at time of enrollment are not eligible. Belen Law Firm prepaid legal plans cover only the enrolled individual. Coverage does not extend to a legal spouse, domestic partner, dependents, or other family members. A plan may be purchased by a third party on behalf of another individual; however, coverage applies only to the individual designated as the enrolled member.

Geographic Coverage

The Program is currently available EXCLUSIVELY in Maricopa County, Arizona.

Additional counties may be added in the future.

Emergency Assistance

Emergency calls will be answered by the 24-hours after hours service and page the attorney. An emergency in a criminal matter is when there is an arrest warrant, an imminent arrest meaning the police is outside your door, subscriber has been arrested, subscriber needs to self-surrender because there is an arrest warrant or probable cause for an arrest, a self-surrender needs to be scheduled as soon as possible, danger to self or others, or any similar imminent circumstance with the subscriber. In case of an emergency, Belen Law Firm will assist to the best of their abilities. They will make the pertinent calls to Initial Appearance Court, attempt to locate client, calls to law enforcement such as but not limited to Sheriff’s Departments, Police Departments, and any other arresting agency, calls to the County or City Attorney’s Office, calls to family/friends as previously designated by client, attend initial appearance in person or virtual if provided reasonable advanced notice, etc.

Court Appearances 

For qualifying court appearances in Maricopa County, clients must provide at least 3 hours’ notice whenever reasonably possible. If less than 3 hours’ notice is provided, we will make reasonable efforts to assist, but representation or assistance cannot be guaranteed.

Services Not Included

All plans cover attorney fees only. Costs for private investigators, expert witnesses, mental health and medical records, police reports, filing fees, and other external expenses are not included in plan coverage. Plans do not apply to Post-Conviction Relief, Relief Appeal, Trial or Mistrial. You will be informed of any additional fees before services are provided. Please refer to your fee agreement for additional details regarding excluded costs and services.

Monthly Payments & Autopay

By selecting monthly billing, you authorize Belen Law Firm or its payment processor to automatically charge your payment method on file. You are responsible for keeping your payment information current.

Declined Payments

If your payment is declined or rejected, you will have 24 hours to update your payment information. If payment is not successfully updated within 24 hours, your membership may be cancelled. Any refund will be determined at the sole discretion of Belen Law Firm, and exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Cancellation Policy

Prepaid Legal plans are provided on a month-to-month basis. Clients may cancel their membership at any time by providing written notice of cancellation. Cancellations will take effect at the end of the client’s current billing cycle, provided that written notice is received at least ten (10) business days before the end of the current billing cycle. This notice period allows us sufficient time to process the cancellation and update our billing records. If written cancellation notice is received fewer than ten (10) business days before the end of the current billing cycle, the cancellation will take effect at the end of the following billing cycle, and the membership will remain active through that billing period. No prorated or partial refunds will be issued for cancellations made during a billing cycle. Once the applicable billing cycle ends, the membership will automatically terminate, and no further charges will be made.

Membership does not guarantee a particular legal outcome.

Changes to the Program

Belen Law Firm reserves the right to update program services, pricing, policies, or terms from time to time. Plan participants will receive notice of changes.

Pilot (Beta) Service Disclaimer

Prepaid Legal Plans are currently being offered as a pilot (beta) service. During this initial phase, certain features, processes, service options, and administrative procedures may be modified, updated, or discontinued as we evaluate and improve the service.

While we make every reasonable effort to provide a reliable and positive client experience, there may be delays, limitations, or interruptions as we refine our operations. We may request feedback from clients to help us improve the service.

By enrolling in the Prepaid Legal Plans, you acknowledge that this is an initial rollout and that aspects of the service may evolve. Belen Law Firm will communicate changes to the service as appropriate.
